Former MPC member Rajiv Ranjan appointed VP of New Development Bank

 

New Development Bank (NDB) has said that he has appointed Central Banker Rajiv Ranjan, a career working on the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) rate-setting panel.The appointment is for five years.

Ranjana played a significant role in the financial policy and liquidity related work at the RBI, who joined the RBI in 1979. He served as Executive Director and RBI’s currency policy committee member from May 1, and he was scheduled to retire next month.

The BRICS Group was established in 2015, which has so far approved the Billion Billion billion billion bills to finance various development projects from the Shanghai-Headquarters.

The objective of NDB is to combine resources for infrastructure and durable development projects in BRICS and other emerging economies. Each of the original five BRICS members (Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa) is 18.98% in the development bank.
